Donald E. Decker

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Donald E. Decker, 62, died on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at his residence. Donald was born on September 30, 1948 in Williamsport and was the son of the late Elmer R. Decker, Jr. and Grace (Blakely) Loomis. He was a 1966 graduate of South Williamsport High School. He was a proud PFC U.S. Marine Corp. Vietnam War Veteran. On October 4, 1969, he married the former Suzanne E. (Bower) who survives and celebrated 41 years as husband and wife. He had retired from the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 520. He was a life member of the VFW and enjoyed reading and his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Suzanne, he is survived by his beloved children and grandchildren; two sons and one daughter-in-law; Donald E. and Naomi Decker, II and Michael E. Decker, all of South Williamsport, one daughter and son-in-law; Amy C. and David Alexander of Montoursville, five grandchildren; Madalyn Decker, Haley Decker, Elaina Decker, Charlotte Decker and Kyle Alexander, one brother; Elmer R. Decker, III of Trout Run and one sister and brother-in-law; Cindy Decker-Baker and Rev. Ron Baker of Middleburg, FL. The funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport with the Reverend Ron Baker officiating. Following the funeral on Friday, there will be a public viewing at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m.
