Donald E. Barrett

COLUMBIA CROSSROADS- Donald E. Barrett, 63, of Columbia Crossroads, PA passed away on Friday, September 28, 2007 at his home. He is the loving husband of Juanita M. (Hart) Barrett, whom he married on June 14, 1969. The couple had 38 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA for a time of fellowship and sharing. Don was born on August 23, 1944 in Springfield Township, Bradford County, PA. He was the son of the late Herbert and Florence (Hemenway) Barrett. Don was a 1963 graduate of Troy High School, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Viet Nam War. Don loved Jehovah and belonged to the Towanda Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witness. Don enjoyed farming, his animals, and being outdoors. Don loved his family more than anything else in the world. They include his wife Juanita, his sons Herbert W. (Beth) Barrett of Corryland, PA, Leland D. (Carol) Barrett of Wellsboro, PA, Dale L. Barrett of Columbia Crossroads, PA, and Donald E. Barrett, Jr. also of Columbia Crossroads, PA, his daughters Laura L. (Travis) Barrett Kimball of South Waverly, PA, and Kyla J. Barrett with companion Chris Shaffer of Laceyville, PA, his grandchildren Bart Doud, Holly Doud, Jimmy Dobbins, Vicky Dobbins, Melissa Barrett, Michael Barrett, Crystal Kimball, Hunter Kimball, Jessica Shaffer, Anthony Shaffer, Alex Shaffer, his sister Jo Ann (Robert) Lowe of Trout Run, PA, his mother-in-law Dora Hart of Wellsboro, PA, his brother-in-law Paul H. Lou Ann) Hart of Wellsboro, PA, his sisters-in-law Shirley (Ronald) Foster of Elkland, PA, and Rhonda Benson of Florida, along with several nieces and nephews Don was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sandra Barrett, and his brothers Jack Pine and James Pine. Contributions may be made to the Barrett family to help defray the costs of the funeral.
