Donald E. Anderson

DOVER—Donald E. Anderson, 73, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of Kim (Ki Im) Anderson. The couple celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary August 4th. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born August 22, 1937 in York, he was a son of late Joseph H., and Maud V. (Alloway) Anderson. He graduated from York High School in 1955 and later earned his MBA from York College. He served in the United States Navy for 23 years and is a veteran of the Vietnam War; in 1978 he was honorably discharged as a Master Chief Petty Officer. Following his military career, he was employed with Ships Parts Control Center as a program manager, until his retirement in 1996. A member of the 13th Ward Political Club, he was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Assoc., and V.F.W. Post 556.
