Domie B. Muscara

POTTSVILLE - Domie B. Muscara 77, of Pottsville died Thursday morning at the Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. Born in Summerville, N.C. on November 11, 1931, the son of the late Domenico and Naomi E. Ellison Muscara. He graduated from Pottsville High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Muscara was a self employed and owned and operated D.F. Coal, Company, Minersville; D.B. Muscara, Inc., Pottsville; Northumberland Paving Company, Kulpmont, PA; Bear Gap Stone Quarry, Elysburg, PA; and Big Diamond Raceway, Minersville. Mr. Muscara was a long time pilot owned his plane which he loved to fly. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pottsville, Minersville Rotary Club and Pulaski Lodge #216 FA&M, Pottsville. Preceded him in death beside his parents are a brother Gurney Brinkley, and his sister Jettie Rose Fanelli. Surviving is his wife of 52 years Mary Ann Hertz, Pottsville, a daughter Cassandra, wife of Lawrence Gribb, Pottstown; three sons Frank, husband of Lois, Pottsville, Dean, husband of Nicole, Pottsville, and Dominic Lance, husband of Paula, Churchville, PA, four grandchildren Frank and Samantha Muscara, Pottsville; Marissa and Jacob Gribb, Pottstown, a brother Philip Muscara, Prescott Valley, AZ, a sister Billie Reed, Lancaster, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services will be conducted on Monday at 5:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, Fourth & West Market Streets, Pottsville, PA. Family and friends may call at the church from 4:00 P.M. till time of service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
