Dolores 'Sis' J. (Donagher) Wilson

YORK - Dolores “Sis” J. (Donagher) Wilson, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Charles L. Wilson of Brogue. The couple were happily married for 66 years. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with her Pastor, The Reverend Peter Beddia officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Born February 15, 1933 in Red Lion, Dolores was a daughter of the late Elwood and Katurah (Barley) Donagher. She worked all her life as a homemaker. Mrs. Wilson was a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Brogue and was active in church activities and hymn singing groups. She was a compassionate people person known for her thoughtfulness by sending her homemade cards to those in need or keeping in touch with those she loved. Dolores enjoyed being actively involved in her sons’ scouting when they were young, walking, taking pictures and being around her loving family, especially the babies. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wilson is survived by two sons, Mike Wilson and his wife Terri of Brogue, and Todd Wilson and his wife Lori of Brogue; three daughters, Linda Huffaker and her husband John of Brogue, Dawn Martinez and her husband Nicanor of Highspire, and Dru Allen and her husband Dennis of Brogue; 19 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; a brother, Butch Donagher formerly of Red Lion, and a sister, Nancy Symmerman and her husband John of Mifflin. Along with her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by twin daughters, Jeanie and Janie; a daughter, Marcia; a baby, Charles; two brothers, Donald and Barry, and a sister, Joan.
