YORK - Dolores M. (Hollingsworth) Hoffman, 92 died Saturday evening, November 24, 2018 at ManorCare – South. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Hoffman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 219 S. Beaver St., York with Father Keith Carroll officiating. Viewing will be 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hoffman was born March 29, 1926, in York. She was the daughter of the late Gerald and Mary (Breitenbaugh) Hollingsworth. She had been a manager at the former Danskin store at the York Mall and later, along with her husband, owned and operated a bookstore in downtown York as well as a craft and flower stand at Central Market. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She also worked with the church youth for many years. Mrs. Hoffman leaves her son, Karl Hoffman of Red Lion; and grandchildren, Kyle Hoffman and Amy Witmer, both of Lancaster County. She was preceded in death by a son, Peter Hoffman in 2009.
