Dolores M. (Gilgore) Brobst

Dolores M. Brobst, 78, formerly of Pottsville, died Sunday morning at the Manor Care Health Services, Wilmington, DE. Born in Pottsville, on September 7, 1928, she was a daughter of the late William and Mildred Hughes Gilgore. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School. Until retiring, she was employed by the Rite Aid Pharmacy in the Fairlane Village Mall. She was married to Frederick L. Brobst, who died in 1998. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Women's Auxiliary and also volunteered for the Salvation Army. Surviving Dolores are: four sons, Steve and his wife Diane, Gary and his wife Midge, all of Wilmington DE, David and his wife Janet, of Newark, DE and William and his wife Donna, of Walnut Botton; a daughter, Barbara, wife of Theodore Starinsky, of Pottsville; 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren a sister, Margaret Orlosky, of Wilmington DE; a nephew Robert Orlosky, of Reading PA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mildred Hughes and her husband Frederick L. Brobst. A Memorial service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville. Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until time of service. The Rev. Liddy Bileck will officiate. Interment will be in Indiantown GAP cemetery, Annville.
