Dolores L. (Nicholas) Elfner

DALLASTOWN- Dolores L. (Nicholas) Elfner, 85, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Dallastown Nursing Center. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. Born December 19, 1929 in Windsor, Dolores was a daughter of the late Charlie and Almeda (Mitzel) Nicholas. She worked as a secretary for Catepillar for over 30 years until her retirement in 1993. Dolores had a passion for traveling and was able to see most of the world. She traveled up the Amazon, throughout the majority of North America, Asia, the Caribbean, across North Africa and made a safari through Central Africa, Russia, China, most of Europe and the Galapagos Islands. She also had a deep love for animals. Mrs. Elfner is survived by a son, Craig Elfner of York, and a daughter, Lisa Lenore Brown and her husband Jason of Fishers, Indiana. Along with her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Lentz.
