Dolores G. (Trimmer) Hersh

YORK- Dolores G. “Jimmy” (Trimmer) Hersh, 92, died on Monday, November 19, 2018 at her residence. She was the wife of Richard W. Hersh, to whom she was married for 47 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Allen Hersh and Curvin Hersh officiating. A viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born on March 28, 1926 in York, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Jones) Trimmer. Dolores was a homemaker. Mrs. Hersh was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church. She was a wonderful cook and devoted wife who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Along with her husband, Richard, Dolores is survived by six sons, Gary Bowman and wife, Shelby, Clarence Bowman, Jr. and wife, Shirley, Henry Bowman and wife, Tracy, Allen Hersh and wife, Gretchen, Curvin Hersh and wife, Jaimie and Richard Hersh, Jr. and wife, Lyla; four daughters, Deborah Boyer, Lucinda Golden and husband, Karl, Rosie Brooks and husband, Clyde and Victoria Miller and husband, Lynn; 30 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Edith Smiley; two brothers; and three sisters.
