Dolly Mae Hensel

YORK- Dolly Mae (Test) Hensel, 85, of West Manchester Township, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at York Hospital. She was the wife of William Hensel. The couple celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on August 29, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 950 W. Market Street in York, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. The Reverend Daniel Richards will be officiating at the Mass. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery in York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting with the arrangements. Mrs. Hensel was born in York on November 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary E. (Barnes) Test. She worked as a bridal consultant for the former Pat Morgart’s Bridal Shop. Mrs. Hensel was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in York, where she was a part of the Altar Rosary Guild. She was also a member of Viking Athletic Association, and York Antique Car Club. Along with her husband, Mrs. Hensel leaves two sons, William W. Hensel and his wife Anita of York and Charles A. Hensel and his companion Kelly J. McKinsey of York; three grandchildren, Melissa Steinbeiser and her husband Rich, Jennifer Warning and her husband Russ, and Kristin Mancia and her husband Paul; five great grandchildren, Zachary, Amara, Alex, Gianna, and Genevieve. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Annika Rose Steinbeiser, and two brothers, Charles and Jack Test. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 950 W.
