Diane M. Piccioni Cory

POTTSVILLE- Diane M. Piccioni Cory, 43, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday after a 10 year courageous battle with melanoma at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson Street, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on September 27, 1967, she was a daughter of the late H. Robert Piccioni, who passed away January 20, 2004, and Ann Breslin Piccioni, of Pottsville. Diane was a 1985 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. During high school she worked for the former First Federal savings bank, Pottsville for several years. In 1986 she began working for the former Argo Federal Credit Union, Pottsville, until they merged with Hidden River Credit Union, Pottsville. She has worked for Hidden River as a member service representative until she fell ill in September. Diane was a member of the former Saint Joseph Church, Pottsville and is currently a member of Saint Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville. She loved to travel to Atlantic City with her husband, friends and family. She was her daughters and nephews biggest cheerleader for their sporting events. In addition to her mother,Diane is survived by her husband, David C. Cory, of Pottsville, to whom she celebrated 23 years of marriage on November 21st; her four daughters, Ashley A., Jennifer L., Brittany R. and Olivia M. Cory, all at home; her two brothers, H. Robert Piccioni, husband of Karen, of Schuylkill Haven, and Michael Piccioni, husband of Nancy, of Pottsville; her mother-in-law, Anne; her sisters-in-law, Grace and Sharon;nieces, nephews, aunts, Uncles and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:30 A.M. at Saint Matthew the Evangelist Church, Spruce Street, Minersville. Father Leo J. Maletz will officiate. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass at the church. Interment will be held in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville.
