Diane Lee (Hoover) Henz

DOVER Diane Lee (Hoover) Henz, 68, passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of Joseph A. Bud Henz to whom she was married for 16 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Betty Frey, Certified Celebrant officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-6:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Following the services, there will be a reception at Buds home. Born September 18, 1942 in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Houck) Hoover, she and Bud were members of the 82nd Airborne Assoc. and Purple Heart Assoc. Dee enjoyed interior decorating, reading, and gardening. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Henz is survived by a daughter, Lynn and husband Eric Mark of York; a stepson, Michael P. Henz, Sr. of Sarasota, FL; a step grandson, Michael P. Henz, Jr.; two sisters; a niece, Juanita Briddell of York; eight nieces who reside out of the area; and many neighbors, especially Kendra Linker and Gary Mooney. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 540 S. George St., York, PA 17401.
