Derrik R. Overmiller

RED LION Derrik R. Overmiller, 23, died unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Viewings will be held from 2-4:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Derrik was born August 12, 1987 in York a son of Kevin D. and Elaine L. (Hilt) Overmiller of Red Lion and had attended Red Lion Area High School. He loved playing poker, attending local sprint car races, and going crabbing with his father. In addition to his parents, Derrik is survived by a sister, Karen L. and husband Jody Koons of Red Lion; a brother, Adam E. and wife Jennifer Overmiller of Manassas, VA; a niece, Chloe Koons; three nephews, Ethan Koons and Benjamin and Noah Overmiller; maternal grandparents, Earl and wife Carol Hilt of Felton; paternal grandmother, Janet Overmiller of Felton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
