Dennis "Mike" Smith, Sr.

BROGUE – Dennis “Mike” Smith, Sr., 63, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Shirley R. (Johnson) Smith to whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage in May. Born July 22, 1953 in York, a son of the late Russell L. and Ella D. (Corman) Smith, he was a truck driver for O’Shea Lumber Company. Mike was a member of Yorkana Game and Gun Club, NDHP Motorcycle Club and Austin Costello Sportsmen Club in Potter County. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and hunting. In addition to his wife, Mr. Smith is survived by a son, Dennis M. Smith, Jr. of Felton and his significant other Kelly Lloyd; a daughter, Stephanie M. Smith of Red Lion and her significant other Brian Baronner; four grandchildren, Michael D. Smith, Blake and Brian Baronner and Destiny Luckenbaugh; six brothers, Curt, Jess and Chuck Smith of Felton, Bradley Smith of Brogue, Fred Smith of Red Lion and Dave Stermer of Windsor; four sisters, Nancy Nelson and Susan Frey McCalla of Wrightsville, Yvonne Smith of Red Lion and Tanya Kramer of York; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Yorkana Game and Gun Club, 468 Smyser Road, York, PA 17406.
