Dennis M. Leas, Sr.

YORK—Dennis M. Leas Sr., 64, passed away Wednesday April 14, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital-York. He was the husband of Julia A. (Knaub) Leas to whom he was married for 35 years. A Celebration of Life Tribute will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born March 28, 1957 in York, he was a son of the late Glenwood Leas Sr., and the late Esther (Godfrey) Leas. He was employed in the maintenance department of York Suburban School District and prior to that spent several years with Rabbit Transit. A member of Faith United Church of Christ, he was also an avid race car, Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan. He enjoyed playing golf and scratching lottery tickets. Mr. Leas is also survived by a son, Dennis M. Leas Jr., and wife, Jessica; two daughters, Emily L. (Leas) Clancy and Kaley Rae Leas and companion, Shane Kauffman Jr; three grandchildren, Ava, Ryleigh and Adalyn; two brothers, Glenwood Leas Jr., and Donald Leas; one sister, Sharon Fahs.
