Dennis E. Petry

YORK- Dennis E. Petry, 62, died on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at his residence. He was the husband of Kathy A. (Haugh) Petry. The couple wed on June 12, 1982. Services for Mr. Petry are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. Born on September 7, 1949, Dennis was the son of the late Carson C. and Helen (Welker) Petry. He worked as a Film Assembler for GEA Flatplate until his retirement in 2008. Mr. Petry had a very strong work ethic and was meticulous about his cars and personal appearance. He loved music, his pets and was an avid New York Yankees fan. Along with his wife, Kathy, Mr. Petry is survived by a son, Jason M. Petry and his wife, Laura of Etters; two daughters, Stacey L. Forry of Hatboro, PA and Katie D. Petry at home; two grandchildren, Breanne Forry and Chase Feeser; two sisters, Carole A. Kuhn and her husband, Jim of New Oxford and Deborah L. Darr and her husband, Robert of York; one niece; three nephews; and his former wife Deborah (Reilly) Fuhrman. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kayla Petry; and a brother, Carson R. Petry.
