Dennis D. Stambaugh

YORK—Dennis D. Stambaugh, 67, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia H. (Ashman) Stambaugh to whom he was married for 32 years. Celebration of Life Tribute will be held from 6-8PM, Wednesday December 15, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born September 30, 1954 in York, he was a son of the late Edgar and Helen (Anderson) Stambaugh. Dennis owned Stambaugh’s Auto Sales in West York for many years until his retirement. An avid collector of Pennsylvania Railroad memorabilia, he also collected lanterns and silver and gold coins. He enjoyed sprint car racing and was a member of the Viking Athletic Assoc. In addition to his wife, Mr. Stambaugh is also survived by his daughters, Brandy R. Landis and husband, Elton of York and Sarah A. Oster of York; three grandchildren, Mercedes and Zander Landis and Scotland Oster; two uncles, Jack Stambaugh and his wife, Edith of York and Glenn Stambaugh of Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Stambaugh. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, Pa 17406.
