READING- Denise Marie Finnerty, 65, formerly of Lewisberry/Wellsville, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Exeter Greens Care and Rehabilitation Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 West Front Street in Lewisberry, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. The Reverend Dr. Melvin R. Baber will be officiating at the service. Burial will follow in Tri-County Memorial Gardens. Ms. Finnerty was born in Havertown, PA on November 29, 1952, the daughter of the late Thomas J. Finnerty, Jr. and the late Doris M. (McNulty) Finnerty. She worked for Fulton Bank and New Cumberland Army Depot. Ms. Finnerty was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wellsville. She was a 1969 graduate of Darby Township High School in Glenolden, PA. She was a member of the Lioness’s Club of Rossville, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a Republican Party Committee Woman. Ms. Finnerty leaves two daughters, Dawn M. Smith of York and Jeannette M. Smith of New Freedom; two sisters, Anita (Finnerty) Getty and her husband John of Middlebury Center, PA and Doreen (Finnerty) Kennedy of Lewisberry; nieces, Erin and Megan; nephews Adam and Anthony; great nieces, Jayden, Savannah, Lillyana, and Adrianna; and great nephews, Dominick and Aiden, as well as several cousins. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gerald C. Latshaw, and a nephew, Clinton Charles. Memorial contributions may be made to Wellsville Fire Company, 95 Community Street, Wellsville, PA 17365.
