Delores Kathryn (Rauhauser) Detter

Doylestown Township- Delores Kathryn (Rauhauser) Detter, 79, formerly of York, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Neshaminy Manor in Doylestown Township. She was the wife of Charles U. Detter. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on April 15, 2008. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Friday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and 9-10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Detter was born in York on January 8, 1930, a daughter of the late Reuben E. and Ruth B. (Strickler) Rauhauser. Mrs. Detter was a charter member of Hayshire United Church of Christ and was a member of the Hummel Club. Along with her husband, Mrs. Detter leaves a daughter, Vickie R. Detter and her partner Diane Foreman of Holland, PA; three grandchildren, Alanna, Tim, and Ed; a mother-in-law, Florence Detter of York; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
