YORK - On December 20, 2008 at 9:11 AM God received another Angel when Delores J. (Urey) Firth, age 67, passed away surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Kenneth E. Firth to whom she was married for 48 years on September 24, 2008. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born June 18, 1941 in York a daughter of the late Harry P. and Mary Cecelia (Hemler) Urey and stepdaughter of the late Raymond Seitz, she was a 1959 graduate of York Catholic High School. Delores had worked at Lincoln Highway Garage as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed bowling with her husband and on other teams at East Lincoln Lanes. Delores also took great pride in crocheting afghans that she would donate to Misericordia Convalescent Home. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to her husband, Delores is survived by a daughter, Alissa M. Rohrbaugh of York; three grandchildren, Erin, Alexis, and Tanner Rohrbaugh; two brothers, James Urey of Phoenix, AZ and Michael Seitz of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Mary Firth; a brother, Terry Urey; and a sister, Margaret R. (Urey) Reichard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York Cancer Patient Help Fund, 25 Monument Rd., Suite 194, York, PA 17403.
