YORK- Delores E. (Brown) Evitts, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Pastor Richard Hall officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-6 PM prior to the service. Born July 31, 1942 in York, Delores was a daughter of the late Robert F. and Evelyn A. (Small) Brown. She worked as a bus driver for many years, most recently with Kelly Transit for seven years until her retirement. Delores was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 537, York Chapter 694 Women of the Moose, and was an avid volunteer of Harvest of Blessings. Ms. Evitts is survived by a son, John Evitts and his wife Peggy of Winterstown; three daughters, Patricia Myers of Red Lion, Margaret Evitts of Dover and Michelle Wolf of Red Lion; three brothers, Michael Brown and his wife Joanne of York, Robert Brown, Jr., and his wife Cherry of Dover and Frederick Brown of York; three sisters, Mary Hays of York, Margaret Horn and her husband Robert of Mt. Wolf and Catherine Powers of York, and a son in law, Charles Goldsberry. In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her companion, Jack E. Cave and a daughter, Helen Goldsberry.
