Delone Miller, Jr.

RED LION- Delone Miller, Jr., 89 of North Hopewell Township, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 at his residence. He was the husband of Virginia K. (Stough) Miller. The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on August 4, 2024.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Pastor Woody Harrison will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Zion Methodist Episcopal Cemetery in Stewartstown.

Mr. Miller was born in Stewartstown on September 25, 1935, the son of the late Dalone George and Myrtle L. (Sechrist) Miller. He retired after 42 years of service at Agway Fertilizer Plant in York. 

Mr. Miller was a member of Pleasant View Church in Red Lion. He was known to be very handy and could figure out how to fix almost anything. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, going on bus trips as well as travelling and camping. 

Mr. Miller leaves two daughters, Cindy Ann Louise Tome and her husband Dennis of York and Mary Jane Marie Cocozzoli and her husband Robert of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; four grandchildren, Stephanie Wallo, John Wallo, Nicole Cocozzoli, and Dominic Cocozzoli; and a great granddaughter, Phoenix Cocozzoli. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Miller and Frankie Miller, and a sister, Delores Miller.
