Delma E. Murphy

DALLASTOWN- Delma E. Murphy, 77, died on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Manor Care Health Services, Dallastown. Services for Ms. Murphy are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on September 3, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Delmar S. and Aldea S. (Mundis) Murphy. Delma was a 1953 graduate of Red Lion High School and graduated York Hospital School of Nursing on August 30, 1956. Throughout her nursing career she worked for York Hospital, Memorial Hospital, private duty and most recently for Rest Haven until her retirement. Ms. Murphy enjoyed raising Pekingese dogs. Ms. Murphy is survived by a daughter, Kim E. Berwager of York; a son, Keith A. Paules and his wife, JoAnn of York; two sisters, Gloria Jean Tyson of Red Lion and Karen I. Bjorkman and her husband, Kjell of Dover; one niece; and three nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York, PA 17406.
