LEWISBERRY – Delbert D. Zinn, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Providence Place Senior Living. He was the husband of Phyllis J. (Brenner) Zinn to whom he was married for 63 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Lewisberry United Methodist Church, 309 Market Street, Lewisberry with her Pastor, The Rev. Jane Harrison officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery with a Flag Folding Presentation by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born February 22, 1929 in Lewisberry, a son of the late Walter and Sara (Hake) Zinn, he was a 1947 graduate of New Cumberland High School. Mr. Zinn had been Vice President of the former Otto & Hollinger Lumber Yard, Inc. in Lemoyne and later retired as a bus driver from West Shore School District. He was a member of Lewisberry UM Church and enjoyed hunting and gardening. Mr. Zinn served as a Military Policeman in the US Army during The Korean War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Zinn is survived by two daughters, Dianne M. and husband Ron Rudy and Leslie K. and husband Mike Sponsler both of Dillsburg; and three grandsons, Matthew D., Nathan J. and Zachary J. Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Ministries, 211 South Baltimore Street, P.O. Box 448, Dillsburg, PA 17019.
