Deborah Jo (Wells) Johnson

YORK- Deborah Jo (Wells) Johnson, 67, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held from 6:30-7:30 PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Trinity Life Center, 16 South Charles St., Dallastown, with The Reverend Roger H. Mentzer officiating. Born August 6, 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana, Deborah was a daughter of Sue (Keigley) Wells of AZ and the late William Wells. She worked in emergency medicine as a registered nurse for over 44 years at York Hospital, and most recently as a nurse for the Dallastown Nursing Center. Deb enjoyed traveling to the beach, going on cruises, and playing games at the casino. The light of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Deborah dedicated her life to nursing and to compassionately caring for others and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ms. Johnson is survived by a son, Erik Johnson and his girlfriend Ashley Wright of Jonesboro, AR; a daughter, Bethany Lancaster and her husband Jason of York; five grandchildren, Jordyn Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Isabella Hess, Cayden Steele, and Joshua Hess; two brothers, Richard Wells and his wife Deb, and Terry Wells and his wife Deb; a sister, Patricia Lavelle and her husband Jim, and her best friend, Carol Henry and her family.
