Deborah Ann (Petry) Aby

YORK-Deborah Ann (Petry) Aby, 57, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of George L. Aby. Funeral services will be private at the request of the family, Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Aby was born January 22, 1953 in York a daughter of the late William H. and Flossie L. (Smith) Petry. She was a graduate of York High School and later worked 24 years for Danskin until her retirement. She was a devoted Christian woman who attended Red Lion Bible Church. Mrs. Aby enjoyed going to Wildwood, NJ and the York Fair. She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden, and taking care of her cats, whom she dearly loved. She was a loving and compassionate woman, with a heart of gold, and will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Aby is survived by three sisters, Sandra S. Zutell of Thomasville, Shrl M. Patrick of York, and Lynn S. Petry and fianc, Jim Keech of Felton; two nieces, Stacia and Kala Zutell; three great nieces; one great nephew; best friend, Janet Dellinger; and all her loving cats. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Petry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924 N.
