LEWISBERRY – Dean W. Cross, 55, took his last breath at P.S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA on November 8, 2017, while his wife of 30 years, KeriAn (Michaud) Cross held him close. A celebration of Dean’s life will be begin at 11:30 AM Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Whitetail Lodge, 30 Brubeck Circle, Marysville, PA 17053. Follow the TEAM DEAN signs. Immediately following the program, Dean's family invites you to share hors d'oeuvres, wine, beer and stories of Dean’s life. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born June 25, 1962 in Butler, NJ, the son of Betty Jane (Green) Cross of Abingdon, VA and the late Walter L. Cross, he was a 1980 graduate of Butler High School and then graduated from Central Connecticut State University. Dean was Director of Quality and EHS systems at AMES Companies, Inc. in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Dean exuded a thirst for knowledge and truly believed in the ability of people to succeed. He lived his personal and professional life as a quiet strength that taught and encouraged others. He took great pleasure in seeing them succeed! Dean traveled the world for work and pleasure experiencing cultures in many different countries and throughout the United States. He loved learning and had many interests including: fly fishing, fly tying, beer and wine making (and consuming!), astronomy, backpacking, hiking, camping, skiing, rock climbing, cycling and model railroading. Dean was also a skilled cabinet maker (a passion nurtured and taught by his father, an industrial Arts teacher in NJ). In addition to his wife and mother, Dean is survived by his daughter, Laura E. Cross of Mechanicsburg, PA; his son, Drew W. Cross of Shreveport, LA; his sister, Lynne E. and husband Ron Reinhard of Abingdon Va., as well as many nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Dean's family would like to thank all the members of Team Dean for their overwhelming acts of kindness during the last two years. We are forever changed by the outpouring of love and support you have shown. Team Dean. Share the Love.
