RED LION - Dean Richard Olewiler, 77, passed away, Monday, February 2, 2015 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Linda Rae (Wilson) Olewiler. The couple had been married 30 years. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Red Lion Cemetery. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Olewiler was born in Red Lion on January 25, 1938, the son of the late Francis Dewey and Bertha Mae (Sawmiller) Olewiler. He retired in 2000 from Campbell Chain after 28 years of service. Prior to that he worked for Red Lion Bus Company. Mr. Olewiler attended Red Lion High School, was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed western movies, and loved John Deere Tractors. He was a family man and a hard worker, often working two jobs, and was also a lifelong auto mechanic. Mr. Olewiler leaves three daughters, Stacey Lynn Olphin and her husband, Donald of Dallastown, Kandy Rochelle Hall and her husband Brian of Abingdon, MD, and Tammy Dee Wilhelm and her husband, Scott of York; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Billet of York. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Mervin, Raymond, Ken, Charles, and Ralph; and two sisters, Gladys and Thelma.
