Red Lion – Dean Paul Lewis, 54, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was the husband of Svetlana Y. (Solovieva) Lewis, to whom he was married to for almost 18 years. Born on March 21, 1967 in Bethesda, Maryland, he was the son of the late Robert A. Lewis and Sara Evelyn (Long) Lewis/Walsh. Dean was active duty in the Air Force and Army, serving his country in many battles including Desert Storm 1 & 2. He worked as a Civilian Employee for the Army and Navy with a specialty in security. He was a member of the VFW, NRA, and New Freedom Armory. Dean was an avid animal lover, taking care of his goats, chickens, ducks, dogs, and cats. He would spend hours playing fetch with his dogs that adored him. Dean had a special love for bees and enjoyed beekeeping. His love for his family was demonstrated through many projects, including building a greenhouse. He would take time to tend to his garden with his wife. Dean enjoyed the great outdoors, whether it be hiking, hunting, or fishing. He was a handyman and was capable of doing everything he set his mind on. He had a great love of learning and was very knowledgeable. Dean was a wonderful, adoring husband and a great father. He loved his family more than anything in the world and he will be missed and loved forever. Dean is survived by his wife, Svetlana Lewis; daughter, Anastasia Kuznetsova; sons, Ruslan and Aleksey Lewis; and brother, Scott Lewis, 2 nephews and a niece. A viewing will be on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 10-11 AM at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, PA 17356. A Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM. A Facebook Live Stream of the service will be available to view at https://www.facebook.com/olewilertributes. A private burial will follow.
