RED LION- Dean Lewis Warner, 90, died on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Manor Care South. He was the husband of Helen M. (Miller) Warner to whom he was married for 44 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Todd Smith officiating. A viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Born on August 2, 1925 in Chanceford Twp., he was a son of the late Ray C. and Annie (Burke) Warner. Dean was a lifetime dairy farmer. Mr. Warner was a former member of New Harmony Presbyterian Church and St. James Lutheran Church. Mr. Warner enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles and was an avid hunter. Dean was also a member of Shaull’s fast pitch softball team. Along with his wife, Helen, Dean is survived by one son, Mark Warner of East Prospect; two daughters, Susan Miller and her husband, Bruce of New Bridgeville and Jacklyn Carrigan Billet and her husband, Jacob of York; eight grandchildren, Heather Godfrey-Moon, Jacob Billet, Justin Billet, Brandi Wagner, Jerrica Cornelius, Andrea Wurzbacher, Jennifer Warner and Diana Miller; four great grandchildren and one on the way; he is also survived by two brothers, Richard Warner and his wife, Arlene of Red Lion and Robert Warner and his wife, Charlotte of Felton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise (Workinger) Warner; one brother, William Warner; and three sisters, Reba Leiphart, Margaret Daugherty, and Beulah Daugherty. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the caregivers who assisted Dean these past 8 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Red Lion FFA, c/o Kim Dahr, 200 Horace Mann Ave., Red Lion, PA 17356.
