Dean L. Zimmerman

MIFFLINBURG - Dean L. Zimmerman, 75, died on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at his residence. Dean was born on July 2, 1934 in Mazeppa and was the son of the late Thurston and Ethel (Shuck) Zimmerman. He was a graduate from Milton High School. He was married to the former Ruth T. (Troup) for 57 ½ years and who survives. Dean had retired in September 1996 from Con Agra and was a member of the United Church of Christ in Mifflinburg. He was a member of the Penn State Club, Union County Sportsman's Club and Buffalo Valley Sportsman's Club. He was an avid Penn State Fan. In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Dean L. and Crisi Zimmerman, II of Mifflinburg, one daughter and son-in-law; Denise L. and Forest McClintock of Catawissa, three grandchildren; Shawn McClintock of Catawissa, Joshua Zimmerman of Mifflinburg and Alicia Farr of Milton, five great grandchildren; Gabrielle McClintock, Mercedez Farr, Isaac Zimmerman, Rex Farr and Cage Farr and two brothers and sisters-in-law; Glen F. and Ruth Zimmerman of Mifflinburg and Terry L. and Dorothy Zimmerman of Allenwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter; Shannon McClintock. In keeping with Dean's wishes, the services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical Home Health Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837. Arrangements are being handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA 17847.
