Dawne J. Ney Dawne J. Ney, 85, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday evening at Luther Ridge, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on April 22, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Herb and Augusta Evert Koch. Dawne was a 1941 graduate of Pottsville High School. She was a Pottsville tax collector for over 40 years until she retired in 1988. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Dawne was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Ney and her brother, Quentin Koch. She is survived by her cousins, Joanne and David Hults, Brookline, MA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 3rd & West Arch Sts., Pottsville. The Reverend Harold L. Hand, Jr. will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the Church. Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.
