David W. Williams

Red Lion—David W. Williams, 63, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Elizabeth E. (Edwards) Williams with whom he celebrated 38 years of marriage on December 18th, 2009. A celebration of life service will be held private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born May 6, 1946 in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Anna Williams. He was employed as a Precision Inspector with BMY for 17 years. After which he began his employment with FABBCO as a Welder and later retired from Formit Steel in 2006. A United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was also a member of the National Rifle Assoc, Windsor Fish and Game and was President of the United Steel Workers Union at Formit Steel. He was an avid builder and enthusiast of muscle cars and model railroads, loved woodworking, but most of all was a wonderful grandpa. He will be especially missed by his cat, Mudgie. In addition to his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by two daughters, Mary E. Roan and her companion, Frank Basile, and Jeanne M. Bowman and her husband Peter of Glen Rock, three grandchildren, Brandon Nadeau-12, Austin Bowman-9, and Kate Bowman-6. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, Pa 17406.
