DALLASTOWN- David W. Sprenkle, 85, of Springfield Twp., passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (LeGore) Sprenkle. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Full military honors will be provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Red Lion Cemetery. Mr. Sprenkle was born in Bittersville on May 16, 1933, the son of the late Harry and Margie (Olewiler) Sprenkle. He worked for Mason Dixon Trucking Company and then retired from Preston Trucking Company. He served in the US Army in the Korean War. Mr. Sprenkle leaves a son, David W. Sprenkle, Jr. and his wife Donna of Red Lion; a daughter, Christine M. Forry and her husband Michael of Dallastown; two grandchildren, Nichole Trimmer and Jamie Blymire; two great grandchildren; Jason and Colton Blymire; a sister, Elsie Martin of Dallastown; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Hayes and Lois Laucks; and a brother, Harry Sprenkle.
