York—David R. Wilson, 70, died Monday, July 5, 2010 at Manor Care Health Services-Dallastown. Born August 22, 1939 in Forest City, he was a son of the late Russell and Madeline (Adams) Wilson. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia and West Chester University. He then earned a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. He retired as the Executive Director of the South Central Pennsylvania Lung Association. Mr. Wilson is survived by four sons, Scott Wilson and his wife Rosario, Richard, Timothy and Douglas Wilson. He had six grandchildren and was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Wilson and two brothers Richard and Howard Lowry. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Scholarship Fund of West Chester Alumni Assoc., of York County, C/O Richard Guinan, 2871 Dewberry Rd, York, Pa 17404 or American Lung Assoc., of Pa, 3001 Old Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, Pa 17011. David's wishes were to have his remains donated to Humanity Gifts Registry for Medical Science and Research. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
