FELTON- David R. Warner, Sr., 60, of Felton, Pennsylvania died on January 20, 2023, at his home surrounded by family, following a yearlong battle against cancer.
Born on his family’s farm in Chanceford Township on August 3, 1962, David lived his entire life on the farm. He graduated from Red Lion Area Senior High School and then married his high school sweetheart Annette S. (Flinchbaugh) Warner on May 30, 1981. They fulfilled their dream of building a new house on the farm in 2014.
In addition to farming the family farm, he worked his entire life in the agricultural industry starting with Milford Fertilizer Company and ending his career with Seed Consultants. David’s passion was farming, and all things related to agriculture. Nearly all his friendships and experiences in life were a result of his desire to help others produce the highest levels of success in their farming.
David attended St. James Lutheran Church and New Harmony Presbyterian Church. He was elected and served as a Chanceford Township Supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Annette, David is survived by his son, David R. Warner, Jr., and wife, Kristine, of Palmyra, PA; daughter, Mandy (Warner) Uhland and husband, Kevin, of Felton, PA; four grandchildren: Micah A. Warner, Carolyn J. Warner, Nancy M. Uhland, and Warner H. Uhland. David was preceded in death by his mother, Helen E (Workinger) Warner, father, Richard E. Warner, and sister, Mary (Warner) Bowles.
Arrangements are being handled by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. There will be a viewing at St. James Lutheran Church, 2335 Cramer Road, Brogue, PA on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with services and burial to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, and with the support and encouragement of several of his close friends, the family has created the David Warner Scholarship Fund to help support local high school students pursuing careers in agriculture. Contributions may be made by mailing or depositing donations at People’s Bank, 2510 Delta Rd, Brogue, PA, 17309 or any of the other branches.
