David R. Brown POTTSVILLE-David R. Brown 56, of Schuylkill Haven died Friday evening at Harrisburg Community General Hospital. He was a patient at the Lebanon VA Hospital. He was born in Pottsville on April 21, 1953, the son of Ruth E. Lord Brown, Orlando, FL, and the late Lamar R. Brown. Mr. Brown graduated from Blue Mountain High School in 1971. He entered the U.S. Navy in January 20, 1972. Mr. Brown worked as an insurance agent for MetLife, Baltimore Life Insurance. He was the owner and operator of Grab-A-Cap, Pottsville. Mr. Brown was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA. He was a member of the Summit Station Fire Company and the Muddy Creek Gun Club, Branchdale. Surviving besides his mother is a daughter Jenny Lynn, wife Cory Andrews, Wilkes Barre, three step-daughters Marilen, wife of John Ogin, Josephine Brown, and Shirley Brown aqll of Wilkes Barre, three grandchildren Jace Allen Andrews, Katlin Kofchak and John Ogin, Jr, a sister Jane Louise Toth, Pottsville, and two nieces. Celebration of Life services will be conducted on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with Military Honors.
