David P. Emery

MIFFLINBURG - David P. Emery, 56, died on Friday, October 10, 2008 at his residence. He was the loving husband of 37 years to Cathy L. (Miller) Emery. David was born on April 13, 1952 in Lewisburg and was a son of Ann P. (Power) Emery of Milton and the late Charles W. Emery, Sr. He was a graduate of the Milton Area High School. He was a self employed contractor and a coin dealer. David was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Selinsgrove Coin Club, Williamsport Coin Club and a former member of the Moose. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and coin collecting. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by one son and daughter in law; Joshua P. Emery and Devon Burr of Knoxville, TN, three daughters; Cathy A. Emery and Mary E. Emery, both of Milton, and Ruth A. Emery of Northumberland, two granddaughters; Skye A. Poole of Milton and Andrea F. Emery of Northumberland, two brothers and one sister in law; Vincent A. and Mary Emery and Martin John "John" Emery, all of Milton, five sisters and three brothers in law; Rose Mary Zartman of Mifflinburg, Patricia A. and Stanley Moscariello of Milton, Elizabeth K. and Richard Tornetta of Conshocken, Harriet M. and Gary Moore of Milton and Bridget M. Emery of Mifflinburg and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Charles W., Jr., Joseph A. and Michael J. Emery. A mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2008 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 Broadway, Milton, PA 17847 with Father Thomas A. Scala as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Milton. A gathering of family and friends will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with a Rosary service at 8 p.m. conducted by the Knights of Columbus.
