DOVER- David H. Lee, 80 of Dover Township passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024. He was the husband of Beverly C. (Potts) Lee. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on December 17, 2023.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Certified Celebrant Amy Favorito will be officiating at the service. Interment service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA.
Mr. Lee was born in Concord, NC on September 25, 1944, the son of the late Willis James and Julia Jane (Donaldson) Lee. He retired from the US Army in 1986 after 21 years of service. He also retired from BAE Systems in York after 21 years and then worked for them as a consultant.
Mr. Lee was a member of Shiloh American Legion post 791. He was an avid wood worker. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and working outdoors at his house and in his garden.
Along with his wife Beverly, he leaves two daughters, Dawn A. Hill and her husband Scott of Dover and Kim D. Lee of Dover; a grandson, Travis Hill; a brother, William H. Lee and his wife Joy of North Carolina; a sister, Elizabeth J. “Libby” Oswald and her husband Ervin of South Carolina; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Madison C. “Maddie” Hill and a brother, Norman Lee.
