David L. Freed David L. Freed 78, of Wayne Township died Sunday at his residence surround by his wife and family. Born in Pottsville, September 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Ralph S and Ethel E. Ulsh Freed, Sr. He graduated from Pottsville High School in 1947. Mr. Freed was a truck driver for the former Parkway Paper Box Company of Schuylkill Haven, PA. Mr. Freed was of the Protestant faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Freed is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife MaryAnn (Visnefski), a daughter Barbara Ann Freed, three sons David L., Jr., Ronald, and Timothy Freed; two brothers Gerald D., and Ralph S. Freed, Jr. Surviving is his wife of 32 years Geraldine "Gerri" (Bierman) Freed Wayne Township, two daughters Sharon L., wife of Philip Koury, and Luann, wife of Donald Tropp, both of Pottsville, a son Greg, husband of Janice Freed, Pottsville, nine grandchildren Caleb, Ezra, and Abra Koury; Matthew, Justin, Stefhanie Freed; Corey, and Audra Freed, Brandon Tropp. A brother Elwood E. Freed, Gaines, PA, several Nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be conducted at 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, July 15, 2008, at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Street, Pottsville, PA., with an hour of gathering following the services.
