David L. Eck

YORK – David L. Eck, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Jean E. Eck. The couple planned to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on January 8, 2016. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held 2PM, Monday, June 1, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with his pastor, Father Daniel Mitzel officiating. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12PM-2PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born on December 9, 1941 in York, he was the son of Lawrence H. and Genevive (Stough) Eck. David retired from GTE, Inc. after 35 years of service where he worked as an installer and repairman. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima church. Mr. Eck enjoyed hunting, and spending time with his children and grand-children. He was a former member of the Corvette Club and loved traveling to Walt Disney World. In addition to his wife, Jean, David is survived by his two sons, Edward Eck of York, and John Eck and wife Amanda of Windsor; three granddaughters, Amanda, Ashlee and Giulietta Eck; two sisters, Barbara Stultz and Carole Hoke, both of York; and several nieces and nephews.
