David J. Wineka

YORK- David J. Wineka, 48, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Kimberly S. (Rentzel) Wineka. The couple celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary this past March. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 7 PM on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Certified Celebrant Kasie Watkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-7 PM prior to the service. Born July 9, 1967 in York, David was a son of Carroll C. and Athalinda M. (Hershner) Wineka of York. David worked as general manager at Bob’s Intowne Spas for over 22 years. He was a devoted family man and a loyal friend. David will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Along with his wife and parents, Mr. Wineka is survived by a daughter, Alyssa M. Wineka of York; a brother, Bruce H. Wineka of York; a sister, Jill M. Wineka of Mechanicsburg; four nieces, Amber Fisher and her husband Justin, Casey and Cara Glatfelter, and Ella G. Wineka, and two great nephews, Brayden and Brody Fisher. David was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Harry and Marie Hershner, and paternal grandparents, Harry and Alice Wineka. Memorial contributions may be made to Alyssa M.
