David J. Kutzer, Sr.

HANOVER TOWNSHIP-David J. Kutzer, Sr., 64, of Hanover Township, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010, at his home. Born on September 13, 1945, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Sam and Mary (Drevenak) Kutzer. David was a graduate of GAR High School. David was the owner and operator of Kutzer's Truck Sales, located in Bloomsburg. He also worked for Travel Centers of America for 30 years, where he served in many capacities, most recently as a MAC certified instructor and truck repair technical trainer. He served in the US Army for six years, including a one year tour in Vietnam. David was an incredible father and a wonderful man. He was beloved by many friends and family and will be greatly missed. David is survived by sons David J. Kutzer Jr., Wilkes-Barre; and Mark Kutzer and fiance Alicia Joy, Wilkes-Barre; daughters Lisa Kutzer, Wilkes-Barre; and Christa Policare, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren Tia and Jonathan Rodriguez and Sara Adams; brother George Kutzer, Mountain Top; sisters Marjorie Hannon, Wilkes-Barre; and Gloria Hunter, Raritan, New Jersey; Nieces and nephews Gloria and David Ibanez, Manville, N.J. Janice Hunter, Hillsborough, N.J., Sherri and Gary Warga, Hillsborough, N.J. Joan Tate, Bloomingdale; Virginia Kutzer, Mountain Top; Debbie Hannon, Pittston, Margie and J Corbin, Erie; and mother of 3 of his children, Margaret Kutzer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 2, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception, 134 S. Washington Street. Wilkes-Barre. Officiating will be The Reverend Monsignor Thomas V. Banick. Military Honors will be conducted by the US Army. Calling hours will be Monday, March 1, evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
