David H. Rishel, Sr.

ANTES FORT - David H. Rishel, Sr., 69, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Jersey Shore Hospital emergency room after being stricken at home. He was born November 15, 1944 in Loganton the son of the late Katherine Rishel Geyer and his stepfather Jack Geyer. David was married to the former Audrey L. Hoffman on April 15, 1978. They celebrated 36 years of marriage together. He worked for Drake Chemicals, Lock Haven Express, Staiman Recycling, Peck and Eagle Janitorial. David loved going to auctions, puzzles, cooking, TV game shows. He was an avid bible reader and above all he loved his boys with all his heart and his soul mate Audrey for always being there with him. Surviving are his loving wife; five sons David H. Rishel, Jr. of Jersey Shore, Bobby J. (Jennifer) Rishel of Covington, Paul Lee Rishel, Matthew A. Rishel and Douglas A. Rishel all of Antes Fort. Eight grandchildren, several foster siblings and his pet dog “Spike”. Two brothers Fred Rishel of Elizabethtown, KY and Henry Geyer of Loganton. He was preceded in death by his foster parents Harold and Helen Delaney, one brother John Rishel, two sisters Shirley Seller and Mary Rishel. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
