David G. Jay

David G. Jay, 57, died on Monday, January 24, 2022 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Michele Y. (Martin) Jay. The couple wed on June 18, 2002. A celebration of life tribute service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Pastor Wayne Heberlig officiating. Born on June 24, 1964 in New Castle, he was the son of Gary E. and Shirley (Hicks) Jay. David was a phlebotomist at WellSpan York Hospital for 16 years. David’s family was his whole life. Along with his wife, Michele, David is survived by four daughters, Corynne Bortner and her husband, Woodrow of Newberrytown, Ashleigh Jay of Dover, Estelle Silver and her husband, Clinton, III of Manchester and Danielle Seager and her husband, Brian of Felton; 17 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Ken Jay of Newberrytown; and two sisters, Sherrie Musser and her husband, Mike of Dover and Brandy Henry and her husband, Carl of Nottingham, MD.
