LEWISBERRY – David F. Heil, 71, passed away May 18, 2014 at his home. Funeral services and burial will be private. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born February 13, 1943 in Cincinnati, OH a son of the late Eugene R. and Marjorie (Molden) Heil, he had attended Pierce College in Los Angeles. Mr. Heil retired from Caterpillar Inc. in York and also worked part time for BAPS Paint during his retirement. He was a member of Harley Owners Group and enjoyed riding motorcycle and golfing. David and his family generously participated in foster parenting programs throughout the years. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned numerous citations and medals. Mr. Heil is survived by a son, Travis P. and wife Nicole Heil of Etters; two granddaughters, Taryn and Brynley Heil; a twin brother, Richard C. Heil and wife Peggyann Carnill of Hollidaysburg, PA and a younger brother, James E. and wife Denise Heil of Durham, NC; niece and nephew, Tiffani Doerr and Christian Heil; and a cousin, Tim Heil. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Miracle Network, 205 West 700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.
