David E. Pace

LEWISBERRY – David E. Pace, 77, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at West Shore Hospital. He was the husband of Betty A. (Rehn) Pace to whom he was married for 58 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, June 27, 2014 at Lewisberry United Methodist Church, 309 Market Street, Lewisberry with his pastor, The Rev. Jane Harrison officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30-1:30 PM Friday at the Church. Burial will be in Tri County Memorial Gardens with full military honors presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born September 27, 1936 in Harrisburg, a son of the late Lewis and Ethel (Wingeard) Pace, he retired from PA Army National Guard after 42 years of service. David was a member of Lewisberry U.M. Church, First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry, and the 104th Association. Mr. Pace loved spending time with his grandsons and great grandsons. In addition to his wife, Mr. Pace is survived by a daughter, Kimberly and husband Brian Rudy of Arizona; two grandsons, Shaun and wife Jessica Rudy and Brandon and wife Brittaney Rudy; two great grandsons, Jeremy and Mykael Rudy; a sister, Sandra Stoak of New Bloomfield; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Ronald Pace; and one sister, Geneva Wade. Memorial contributions may be made to Lewisberry UMC, 309 Market Street, Lewisberry, PA 17339.
