David E. Lloyd

YORK- David E. Lloyd, 76, of Windsor Township passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his residence with his family by his side. He was the husband of Patsy I. (Stoner) Lloyd. The couple celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on December 12, 2016. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. His pastor, The Reverend Miguel H. Arenas will be officiating at the service. Mr. Lloyd was born in New Park on July 25, 1940, the son of Robert and Ruth (Howard) Lloyd. He retired from Caterpillar in York and then worked for Diehl Motors in York. Mr. Lloyd was a member of Fourth United Methodist Church in York. He was a graduate of Kennard-Dale High School in Fawn Grove and was a member of Hawk’s Gunning Club. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping, especially with his church group. Mr. Lloyd leaves a son, Kenneth C. Pittenger and his wife Janis of Paradise, CA; a daughter, Pamela S. Gurreri and her husband Sam of York; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Dierdorff of York; six grandchildren, Sam, II, James, and David Gurreri, Randy Ashcraft, Destani Barr, and Joani Pittenger, He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, James, Jr., Brittany, Brody, Giuseppe, Sam, III, Giuliana, Jaycee, Sierra, Koli, Lexi, and Michael; two sisters, Nancy Burns of York and Betty Sechrist and her husband Ike of Red Lion; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Pittenger and a brother, Robert Lloyd.
