David E. "Goody" Goodwin

YORK – David E. “Goody” Goodwin, 59, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Manor Care North. He was the husband of Theresa A. (Owens) Goodwin to whom he was married for 36 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with The Rev. Deb Daub officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday and from 10-11:00 AM Wednesday at the Funeral Chapel. Born February 3, 1957 in York a son of the late Darvin C. and Catherine C. (Gotwalt) Goodwin, he was a 1976 graduate of York Suburban High School. Goody has worked at Voith Hydro, Inc. for the past 39 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Local 1400 IAM. In addition to his wife, Mr. Goodwin is survived by two sons, Gregory D. Goodwin of York and Kevin D. and wife Heather Goodwin of York; two grandchildren, Chayce and Audlyn Goodwin; four sisters MaryEllen Goodwin of York, Barbara Kornbau of Yoe, Lynn Cutler of York and Angie Klinedinst of Red Lion; and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters in law and brothers in law.
