Darwin L. Howard

RED LION- Darwin L. Howard, 91, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. He was the husband of Edna M. (Kinard) Howard. The couple celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on September 28, 2017 A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Monday October 30, 2017 at Red Lion Cemetery. The Reverend Courtney Erzkus will be officiating at the service. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting the family with arrangements. Mr. Howard was born in Windsor on April 25, 1926, the son of the late Earl and Anna (Oberdorf) Howard. He worked for Red Lion Cabinet Company, Red Lion Table Company and retired in 1988 from Cooper Tools. Mr. Howard was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Red Lion. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Howard leaves a son, Blaine L. Howard of Red Lion; two daughters, Cynthia Conway of Windsor and Jolene Goodling and her husband Jay of Red Lion; five grandchildren, Joel, Jason, Anthony, Jeremy, and Amy; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald “Red” Howard, Sr. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church 220 N. Charles Street, Red Lion, PA 17356.
